Hey Lads,
I'm an older member from ULKC circa 2006-2010, I'm coming home from Canada between the 12th and the 21st and would love to get a rip down the glens. Do ye think there's a chance it would be in?
Also, do you still offer membership to non UL folks? If so, can I register and use some gear for the weekend?
I've paddle the glens quite a bit so I know what the craic is, I'll also be suuuuuper careful with the boat.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Sean

Glens has become extremely unpredictable in the last 2 years. They've cut down a lot of the forest upstream and the gauge comes and goes so it's a case of just going during/after a lot of rain and hope you're lucky. It seems to run off a lot faster than it used to.
The club does still offer membership for alumni so you should be good to go there. One of the committee can give you all the details on that though. Cough*honorary member*Cough
I'm in work until half 5 Monday to Friday but if you are going some evening, I'd like to join you!

Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

^^^^^ Who the fŭck is this dude?? Thinks he can waltz back in here and start scrounging gear like a student again...
Welcome home boss! Come down to Kerry at some stage while you're over, you need a couple of Flesk laps in your life! Tom O'Donoghue is in the area too and always up for the craic.

Thanks a million Keyes!
Yeah I'd paddle anywhere to be honest. Although the the urge to get on the Glens is pretty big as its the home favorite.
I'll keep you posted on my whereabouts.
Do you know who I have to contact in the club to organize a loan of gear etc?

Yeah I think Luke's right. I'll send him a message but the quickest way is probably to go and ask around the SU.
