Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

Somehow missed your reply. Watched the video again and it's just irritating! So many times towards the start he's coming to these small curlers and you're waiting for him to put in the boof and plane over everything but it never comes, he just sits there and does the "LCC down Castleconnell special" and the nose just ploughs through! One or two sexy moments in it alright, and they're sending some big shit towards the end, but that video could have been so much better!SamOC wrote:I completely disagree Keyes. Keller is paddling a Braaap, its slicey as shit and he wrecks da gaff in it. The whole point in my opinion is hes using a boat that's purposely not as easy to use on that grade of whitewater. The Tuna is easy as shit to use because of its huge rocker o that grade of ww. The Braap on the other hand is like Liquid Logics answer to the RPM. Its 9 foot long and its volume is 69 gallons.
The video is a testament to how slick a paddler Keller is, hes severely handicapped using the boat yet he still makes it look easy as pie. Some examples in the video being:
0:36 (Plenty of speed coming off that slide)
0:44 (Dat eddy catch tho)
2:53 (Cheeky paddleflick into solid boof)
3:00 (another cheeky paddleflick off a big fuckoff waterfall)
4:13 (two boofs that one would call 'Cheeky enough')
4:28 (Need I say more?)
In my opinion some very stylish paddling.
Also, What do you mean the Tuna carries speed out of drops even worse than the Tuna? I thought the Tuna was one of the fastest boats for coming out of drops? Hence why it does so well at sickline and other races.
I realize i'm probably picking an argument with the wrong person here but sure look!
The Tuna does well at Sickline because it boofs super easy and is easy to control in big water. The fact that Sam Sutton is an absolute beast also has something to do with it. It's easier to get up and planing than other boats cos it's got more nose rocker, but that same rocker makes it lose speed faster once it's come out of a drop. The Sickline course is so continuous that it doesn't matter that it loses speed quickly or is shit slow across flatwater, what you want there is something that'll stay in control and stay on the surface. By the time it slows down it's already on top of the next drop, where it's going to get up and planing again. Any races where there are longer pools or flat sections the Tuna does shite. Sickline is about putting together the perfect run with no wobbles, edge catches or water on the deck of the boat and the Tuna makes it easier to do that than any other boat.
