Hey guys.
Has anyone done a club calendar before?
Now would be the perfect time of year to start.
My idea would be to have half the calendar crazy kayaking shots.. And half just having the craic.
There are some very funny pics from previous Alps trips.
In order to make money from it we would have to sell it to the general kayaking population of Ireland.
How could we make it sell?
I think sneakily branding it as ULKC is one thing we should do.. Because most of the college clubs are sick of us.
Also maybe there should be guides attached to the pictures. Most Irish kayakers haven't been abroad so a short description of rivers we have paddled in Italy and Slovenia might go down well.

Eyjafjallajökull Eyjafjallajökull consists of a volcano completely covered by an ice cap. The ice cap covers an area of about 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi), feeding many outlet glaciers. The main outlet glaciers are to the north; Gígjökull,

Sounds like a great idea. The Irish freestyle calendar stopped a few years ago so there's nothing else like it around right now.

Great idea!
Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

It's a great idea and it would make a nice stocking filler for my mother but if we were to show the club truly there'll be an awful lot of nudity and atleast one photo of Mark's arse.
Or we could just commit fully;
- Fully nude calendar with the varsities trophy in every photo.
- Have them ready to sell at varsities.
Too much?

Not enough people in ULKC that will buy it to make it viable. But how about we make a paddling calendar with a few different disciplines represented.. Obviously just the cool ones.
Maybe get sponsorship from I canoe, Bantry Bay and Irish freestyle.
All proceeds go to ULKC but ULKC isn't actually mentioned in the calendar. There's no way it'll sell if we have a ULKC logo on every page

Yea it's a good idea to get sponsorship as a club anyway...considering we are 6 time varsities winners and travel around a bit it shouldn't be too hard. We also buy loads of gear from I-canoe so that would help

I think the idea of including a brief guide or description of the river where each photo was shot is a great one! Make it as varied as possible.
