Is there any daycent flatwater thats fairly close to the boathouse? Was looking to get in a bit of flatwater training before varsities. Haven't been in a k1 for the guts of 4 months and was hoping to not be rusty when it comes to varsities. Anyone who wants to come with me and I could give you a few shnaky tips and tricks about marathon kayaking even if they're paddling a creeker/gola. One more thing if anyone wants to paddle K2 with me give us a shout. #VarsitiesStartsNow #6InARow :)

Outback, downstream from the boathouse is a decent stretch of flat water with rare times of fast flows on it. Properly still water with enough distance to train on would require heading to Lough Dearg though, or the Estuary.
