Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

Great intensive for all the ladies of the club just gone up there by Galwayfest in the Irish Freestyle Facebook page; they're trying to promote more girls entering the races and in general just looking for girls to come along, for coaching, the run some new rivers, and the craic!

If anybody has anything to say (male and female) they are looking to get some discussion going on it too. When they are willing to put the effort in we should definitely take the opportunity. We have a lot of girls in the club now and the numbers keep increasing each year so its definitely beneficial to the girls and the club for us to go to these races and events. Even if, as they suggest if you are nervous, to go and watch or only run some sections and not race at the events, you still gain so much experience and confidence from meeting these people and from doing some section of the river at all!
Anyway, procrastination rant over......for now.....
(PS: for any male (or female) out there who feels I am specifically targeting the promotion of a female weekend, I do not mean any offence it just came up and I felt the absolute need to share it with you lovely people)

Here's the final line up for Galway Fest!
As far as I know we will have the sprinter.
Registration after Wednesday 24th can't guarantee you one of the really nice Galway Fest t-shirts! So don't miss out if you are going.
This is a great event as said in the original post and we always have a strong ULKC presence there. See ya there guys!
