Saw this in the minutes about the Alps. Can someone elaborate on the exact reasoning for this?People need to stay for longer than a week, unless unable due to coop.
Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

About time, fair play! People have been taking the piss in recent years heading out for the advanced week only and then leaving the club high and dry when it comes to leaders and instructors for the other weeks. Where there's a will there's a way, and anyone who has been led down rivers on previous Alps trips owes a bit of teaching time to the club.People need to stay for longer than a week, unless unable due to coop.
The second two weeks are where all the best banter happens anyway!

I can't think of a single person in my time in the club who has gone to the Alps for Week 1 only and gone home out of choice and not necessity. I'm pretty sure it has never happened in my 4 years in the club.EoinK wrote:About time, fair play! Not that I know of Patrick but that doesn't mean it can't happen, the plan changes every year. Chat to the trips officer as early as you can if you have any special requirements for travelling to the Alps.

Is it possible for a non committee member to add something to a meeting agenda if they have an Idea which might be worthwhile?
