As most of us are poor, despondent students without a penny to our name and I'm looking for an excuse not to do my FYP, I thought I'd create this to make a sort of wishlist of what could be if we all win the lotto. I'll start!
2010 Carbon Jackson All Star. The boat I've wanted every since I started kayaking. Has been surpassed by the Rockstar nowadays in terms of performance but everyone knows they're common as muck (even their biggest enemy, Keyes owns one ). The All Star cost about 2500 euro when it was new but the one in the picture is for sale for 650 pounds! Get it while it's hot!
Also another thing I've seen recently...
The Sweet Trooper Super Light Team Henrik Kristofferson Edition...Price hasn't been released yet(probably going to be ridiculous) and it isn't even made for kayaking but I think it's the most beautiful piece of gear ever made. Even comes with a removable faceguard!

Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

I take it we're talking about paddling-relevant items only?
I'd get a carbon Jed made to measure, then a Riot Prankster with fins.
Then a paddle-wagon! Either of these would then make sense:
1. A Ford F350 lwb crew cab dually with engine work done, with load space roofed cover.
Or 2. A double-width expanding camper bus for driving around the continents following the water, with a roofracked sports car in the luggage to act as a shuttle car, with boat storage and satellite TV!
3. A large lotto win would allow purchase of properties in e.g. Briancon, Campertogno, Kobarid, Gran Canaria and live comfortably whole paddling lots.
I've pretty much managed to get everything else I wanted paddling wise over the years after spending long enough as a poor student and poor new employee as well!
I wonder what the unusual lotto win choices would be?

What I wouldn't give...
But in all seriousness though...
If it makes you feel better Gav, the 2010 carbon boats were moulded off a miss-shaped plastic boat and went like shite. The boat they moulded hadn't been put in the cooling jig right so hulls were pure round and just didn't work.GavinSheehan wrote:
Tom Dunphy's has had the whole hull cut out and replaced with something that's approximately the right shape, I don't want to know how long that took or how much it cost.
Me, I want this outside my front door:
And failing that one of these!
And the budget of a third world country to keep putting fuel in it...

Could never go wrong with a Toyota Starlet! 'Bitchin' HPSS machine!
Used to wreck the Gaff with one of these bad-boys on some of the toughest flatwater sections the Liffey has to offer.

Best Jackson colours I've ever seen!

if only. If a country with a similar population can have one the good why can't we just have one even like whales.
