Nope!
Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

I'll forgive you Patrick . . . . . for now . . . .

As Gav said there's no previous qualification's needed for this. And as Brian said you don't need any gear, except maybe a pen and paper (advisable)

New post but up about the refresher course here viewtopic.php?f=79&t=18482

This is coming up soon guys and I need to fill the course make it affordable for everyone.

I'll give people in the club till noon on Wednesday to sign up. After that I'm going to have to start asking other clubs for numbers which I really don't want to have to do.

Keep in mind that this is a great course that really shouldn't be missed by anyone and won't be run again most likely for another year.

People that have committed to the course so far:

j3enns
Paul
Patrick
John
Laura
Stephen
Diarmaid.

Anyone else??

I've already started asking other clubs to fill spaces guys. I'm really surprised there wasn't enough interest in our own club to be honest. Especially from the training Level 2 instructors.

Let them pay their 150 euro for it somewhere else if they want. This is the cheapest REC 3 course you will find in Ireland. If people don't want to get it for 60% of what it usually costs right at their doorstep, then let them off!

He'll mix it up an awful lot between classroom and practical stuff. He will usually go through a skillset or a scenario and then bring you down to the boats and let you apply it with whatever gear you'll have with you in the river. It's such a good way he does it.

He'll go through all of the cardiac first responder stuff too. At the end there's a little test to just make sure you know it all.
