...and so does anyone who knows anything about anything. But unfortunatly beginners don't know that "Get a VE Paddles split shaft that way you can alter the angle as required and they are basically indestructible super light" isn't good advice for someone looking for a river running paddle. And that's just a highlight posted in the past hour! ...there's so much stupid in that one sentence that it's hard to comprehend it all. Anyone that doesn't realise that a split paddle is going to be both heavier and weaker than the non-split version should be banned from posting on the internet.

just to put it out there I'm looking to buy a rescue Buoyancy Aid. size M/L my preference brand would be Palm
