Glens flow behaviour

Here as a reference for future information.

The Glens at the moment (December 2016) takes:
04h30 to drop from 1.10 to 0.60
10h30 to drop from 1.00 to 0.50
25h30 to drop from 0.90 to 0.40
(on the OPW river level gauge on Clonsingle Bridge)

This is noting that this is not during a spell of extended rain, there were non-freezing dry periods between, and the peaks were in the 1.0 to 1.2 range, so the falloff should be about as normal as it gets given that the ground is not super-saturated, frozen, or bone-dry upstream

It'll be interesting to see in a few years what that rate is like when the newer forestry in the watershed grows and can slow the entry of water to the river.

It's a useful number to know anyway, lets us know how much time we have to paddle on the river.. If it's dropping below 1 at midnight, a morning run should still be possible!
