ULCD Paddling 19th & 20th

Heeeeeey friends!

About 8 of us (UCDCC) should be coming down this weekend for some paddling (and partying?) if anyone would like to join us? Forecast looking good to go so far - hopeful Glens days, but willing to travel towards Clare or Kerry if necessary, or - if it's really, really low - show everyone the delights of high CC and the Deel.

And bags of cans! Definitely part of the plan.

Looks like Sunday could be good to go for the Glens either, and like 3 of the group have never done them. Sure we'll know levels closer to the weekend!

Hey derv what level of paddler are you willing to take on the glens, I've been dying to try them out for ages but have no idea what I'm getting in for?

Hey I'd say what'll happen is that a group from UL and a group from UCD will meet up out there if that would suit? I'd hope there'll be a group of ye heading too and people will know the levels of those going that way!

My current plan is Ennistymon Saturday (visual level if anyone's down around there in the next few days?) and Glens Sunday so we should all go :)

With the water the way it is I reckon we'll end up sticking around Limerick on Saturday unless Ennistymon's up - Deel and Mulcair, or high CC. Anyone up for coming with us? Could have 3 spaces in the cars, or could organise to meet us wherever

Hey Patrick, it really depends on the level but once you've got a reasonably solid roll on moving water and are able to confidently drive into some of the smaller eddies on the Glens then you should be able to find someone to bring you down the Glens. If you're 50-50 about it you can always go out and paddle top drop and make up your mind about the rest of the river after that.

Gav made me change this.

Patrick, that training is the following weekend. You're still free this weekend.
