Hi All
Myself and Dan looking to get some paddling in tomorrow.
Possibilities are CC if it is not too high.
The Mulcair
Or maybe Top Drop on the Glens
Space depends on availability of cars with roof racks. Dan has a rack so thats room for 4 boats. Me, Dan and two others.
Post up if interested.
Planning to meet at the BH for 11 in the morning.

Hi Diarmaid, we can decide in the morning. My preference is to run a river. CC, Mulcair or Deel sounds good to me.
Dont know if the Deel has been affected by all the flood water recently, do you know. Most likely it will be a CC run if thats not still too high.
Glens will be top drop only if we head there. Like any trip it is pending a check with the safety officer, will check on that in the morning also.

I'll be able to paddle locally, probably not the Deel, given I've to return for my work shift.

Yeah, CC was a non-runner for the group, so we decided to do a session on Glens top drop. Lots of fun, no swims, and one interesting t-rescue with a paddle from the bank..
Water levels were 8 inches over rock at the start and 10 inches over rock at the end. That's a reasonably high level, where anything rocky is no longer in play and all the water features start getting pushy and sticky and you need your head about you if running it.
We had forgotten about the Milford Hospice fun run thing, and that delayed getting onto and from campus greatly..
