Anyone know anything about the Maigue? Would it compare to Worrels end to the playground?

I've done it once in very low flows. 17 small weirs as far as I know. No real rapids. If there is very little water, the weirs are literally just a boat scrape down a rocky slide. Not sure how they'll react in bigger water but still probably wouldn't be much fun. River is about 7-10 metres wide in most places.
A lot of long stretches of flat water in between the weirs and a finish in Adare town. The only highlight is a paddle through Adare Manor which give you great views and the chance to hoover up hundreds of golf balls that are in the river.
I couldn't wait to get off when I paddled it....

Sheep, like all wool-bearing animals, instinctively travel north, where it's colder, and they won't be so stuffy.

I've done it in a range of water flows, from scrappy low to large towbacks on the weirs. This river used be one of the go-to rivets for the club before CC became regularly open to us.
It's pretty good for learning how to scull properly, and how to enter and exit stoppers/holes. Most of them are shallow, so not really playable. It is quite an education to see how water 20cm deep can hold a boat so effectively!
I've enjoyed it most times I've been on it, comes with a recommendation of a paddle when not at average low water.
I've photos from a previous trip somewhere, I'll link then when I locate them.

Thanks for the feedback lads. Sounds like what i'm looking for.
Bringing a few Sit on Tops down there so little weirs but nothing worth worrying about is ideal.

Definitely worth the trip if you haven't done it before, but like the lads said be careful of the weirs.
