Boluisce Trip 24th October
Posted: Tue Oct 13, 2015 11:11 am
As some of you might have heard there is a river trip to the Boulisce on the 24th. People who have been here since last year should have no trouble on this river. However beginners places will be limited to people who have been on river trips in the past and if they have the necessary skills.
So far the plan is to leave UL on Friday night and stay in young Daragh Heffs house for the night as it is right next to the river #Gent. Depending on when the dam release is we will see how many runs we can get in on the Saturday.
Closer to the time I will see if there's a possibility of running it again on Sunday or doing something different in the area e.g surfing. However this will depend on how long people will be able to spend away at the weekend. Some people may want to head home on the Saturday.
Several people have already expressed an interest in going so places will be limited depending on transport and leaders. The sprinter will be going down so that's enough transport for 7 people plus all boats hopefully. This trip is definitely worth doing for any of our intermediate paddlers who are looking to try something new.
Could anyone who would like to go on this trip please post here. Also if you can provide transport please say so.
Here's a look at what the Boulsice is like for anyone who doesn't know.
