So I've managed to get an RSR 2 course planned for Sunday the 4th of October.

This course is necessary for anyone who is looking to complete their Level 2 Instructor training. I'm expecting anyone who did the course during the summer to attend if they can. Unfortunately we can only allow 6 people to do the course so it's first come first serve.

Eoin Farrell will be running the course and it will cost 30 euro per person.

Can anyone who can transport boats and people also say so as we do not have the sprinter that weekend.

The meeting time and location will be confirmed closer to the time.

Just been doing a little thinking about this course.

Everyone that will be doing the course is very comfortable on our local section of river, the CC run. I would like, if at all possible, to run the course on a different river, one, ideally, the majority of people would never have paddled.

What is everyones thoughts on travelling? Has anyone any major objections to travelling a reasonable enough distance? I will be keeping an eye on rainfall during the week (its looking slack) so most likely I would have a crack at the river Inny which is in Longford. Its about a 2hour ish drive.

Could you all say yay or nay as to your thoughts on the travelling?

Also, please all course attendees have a read of the RSR2 syllabus on canoe.ie during the week and may sure you have all gear with you that is indicated you need to bring please.

Thanks!

Travelling is fine by me, however, I'd retract my offer of driving, as I would be too far for inexperienced me, especially after a long days paddle  :? :|

Right lads because they signed up first there is only room for Paul, Sam, Trish, Stephen, Mark and Patrick .

Just to clarify I've made a mistake in saying that this course is necessary for completing you're Level 2 Instructor (It's not). However don't let this put you off it's still a great course to do and it'd be good for you guys to have a good knowledge of how to do a proper safety set up for when we're on the river anywhere else.

This is how things will go on Sunday. Because assisting on an RSR is necessary (I've checked this) for the Level 2 Instructor course I'd like Paul and Trish to assist as they signed up first.

I know Sam has signed up before Trish however Sam and Stephen need their RSR 2 for their Level 4 skills.

Therefore breakdown for the trip is as follows:
Assisting: Paul, Trish
Taking Course: Stephen, Sam, Mark, Patrick

That ok with everyone??
