Once again guys, all I'm doing at the minute is gauging interest.
If you would be interested in doing your Level 3 this semester please comment below, and as always, this will only go ahead if enough people show an interest.
Thanks!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as Luize, I guess I'd be up for it if we can get enough time to practice etc.

We've had people who started paddling in September and got their Level 3 on the Christmas trip (end of January) so it is possible! If there is enough interest we'll organise training days etc so that you can definitely be ready by the end of the semester

Hey guys, just a small bit of advice re the Level 3 (I don't know specific abilities on this thread so don't be offended).
If you have just started kayaking a Level 3 is certainly achievable this year.
They are different from the Level 2 in that the Level 2 is an enabling assessment which enables you to go out in groups of 3 on flatwater safely and practice skills learned without an official instructor present.
The Level 3 as an assessment is different, you want to be absolutely styling this assessment with nothing at all shaky, you want to be a level where the assessment is an absolute piece of cake.
At the end of the day its an achievement, but will you be that proud of it if you just about pass?
Don't be in a rush to do this assessment it doesn't make you a better or worse kayaker, practice does, hopefully kayaking becomes part of your lives and you will get to the stage where you can look at the criteria on the L3 syllabus and laugh about how easy its going to be.
Whenever I am around feel free to badger me to help you improve skills!

It's great to see interest in this guys, the plan is that Level 3 training will take place on the following dates and times, with the
possibility of extra training afterwards and an added
possibility of an assessment;
Wed. 12th, meeting at BH @ 10am
Tues. 18th, meeting at BH @ 1pm
Sun. 23rd, meeting at BH @ 10am
If you would like to go to any, or all of these trainings, please comment below,
specifying the days you are able to attend.
Once again, here is the link to the skills that the Level 3 assesses;

Any q's please ask!
