Dun dun dunnnn..... The invite has arrived, this is now a worlds year for the Irish ladies!! Every lady out there is welcome to go for this. There are NO selected team members as yet and you should neither expect nor rule yourself out of a place based on previous teams.

A team will be travelling to Mechelan in advance of the Worlds.

There will be a number of selection criteria and one of these will be attendance at group training sessions.

I have a very limited number of email addresses so please forward this to as many polo ladies as you know and also post it for any clubs you are part of. The more competition for places the better!

There are public polo games in Phisborough every Wednesday from 7 and all Dublin based squad hopefuls will be expected to attend. These are open to all clubs, all you need to play is a valid CI (ICU) number.

Please let me know if you are interested in being on the national team and in traveling to Mechelen and the Worlds.

R.

Hey, just wondering would it be ok if I took the red polo boat, a helmet, paddle, and spraydeck to dublin on sunday for that open selection training day for the womens team please? Maybe even friday or tomorrow night so myself and downey can head out to flat water by the boat house or kilmurry beach to practice please?

Should be no problem taking that gear. So long as it's returned... It will be up to you to mind it and as it is technically not a club trip (but very good for club members to go) a lose it, pay it should apply. Not that you'll lose the gear or anything!
