No. They can if they want to although assisting makes more sense as it's needed to for the Level 2 Instructor. Just like you sitting the course makes more sense as you need it for your Level 4 Skills.

If they are assisting does that not mean two spots are left?

this does mean that 2 more spots have opened up for anyone wishing to participate in the course and come away with an RSR 2 certificate.

I know Brian rang me yesterday evening asking to assist and i said no problem but i was not aware that Paul and Trish also needed to sit in. Because they had signed up first its only fair they got the opportunity.

Apologies Brian. I wouldn't have said yes if i had known the situation beforehand.

Not sure what the situation is. Yesterday no one was assisting until I asked to and was told I could. This thread about finding people to sit the course never asked who wanted to assist so I saw no need to post it here. Farrell is running the course so it made sense to ask him.

Assisting and doing the course are two separate things and right now, although it may not be on the course sign up thread I'm the only person who has asked to and been told I can assist.

this is getting very messy once ye sort it all out let us know ya I can drive if there is a space, but sort out all the issues first and come to a definite solution to best make use of the course for people who need it and people who need to assist etc.

Apologies with this fŭck up lads.

Had I been aware of this sooner I and didn't mix up what what necessary for the Level 2 Instructor Course this wouldn't have happened so the fault's on me. Soz. . . . .

Therefore in the interest of fairness here's a new layout:
Assisting: Brian, Paul
Sitting Course: Sam, Trish, Stephen, Mark, Patrick, John

Could people also please comment about helping out with transport and Eoins suggestion on location.

Only 6 people can do the course but it is now only Paul assisting from the original list and Brian is also as he had arranged it with Eoin Farrell already.
So there is only one more space, Conor has said there will be another one organised soon though so you should be able to do it then

Also i'm provisionally going home this weekend so send me the details of where i'm going. I will find out how to get up there and If I can get insured for a day (depending on cost) i will drive up my self and meet you there; if not ill just get a bus back to limerick saturday night and meet you sunday in limerick. I'll let ye know tomorrow.

PS THIS ISN'T DEFINITE! Because i'm 20 and the fact that the car's engine is 2 litre I multiply my parents insurance by 4, so chances are this wont happen on insurance costs alone. i'll talk to my mam tonight and find out if its a feasible option and let you know as soon as I know from her.

Boluisce is a no i would say anyway due to lack of water.
