Hi
Myself and Dan looking to paddle the River Bilboa near Cappamore on Wednesday.
We paddled this river recently and its a fairly easy run. Have one car with roof racks so two more can go!! Post up if interested.
Trip will need clearance from safety officer before we know for sure we can go.
Also if anyone is around on New Years Day this Friday, me and Dan will be paddling from UL to the City Center. Good way to celebrate the new year!!
Post up if interested. Looking to start both days at noon or earlier.

I would say Bilboa is Grade 2 water mostly, few rapids, one small wave train and a few narrow sections but mostly easy to navigate through it.
Some sections are very low and bumpy but mostly smooth!!

With storm Frank hitting and questionable water levels Bilboa trip tomorrow is cancelled.
Still on for UL to City Center on New Years Day!!! Hopefully Frank fecks right the hell off by then!

Guys, UL security have blocked vehicular access to boathouse area as of this evening. I'm not sure if there are restrictions to actual boathouse itself. For Friday, if we can't get on at the pontoon we can always get on at clareville. In this flow it's a fairly fast trip to town.

Is there anyone planning on going to the boathouse tomorrow? And if they are let me know if it's open or not. Need to get in to get gear but if it's not open I won't bother passing through Limerick

Hi All
How about we arrange to be at the Boathouse for 11.30 in the morning.
Me and Dan had a look out there today and there are a few road barriers / diversions in place near the roundabout on the turn down to the BH.
These can easily be moved aside temporaraly and the road down to the BH is fine / not sure why they are there in the first place!!
From the looks of it there will be 6 people going, Dans car will be at the getoff at the Curraghgower pub to transport 4 boats after the run. A second car will need to be left at the get off to transport the other boats back after the trip.
I will meet Dan at 10.50am, drop his car at the getoff and be driving from Curraghgower to UL, leaving about 11.15 if anyone else needs a lift out to UL and wants to leave their car at the getoff.
Any questions ring me, I might not be on the forum again for a few hours.
