Hey lads,

So this swim is going ahead again this year on Sunday September 6th. I haven't been told a time yet but we'll probably be needed for around 10am.

For those of you who don't know, Sean O Sullivan was a swimming coach who trained an awful lot of high performance swimmers and lifeguards in Clare and further afield before his death a few years ago. Every September his family organise a charity swim in the UL Activity Centre to commemorate him. We usually go to provide kayaking safety cover for the 2-300 swimmers that take part. It's completely voluntary but everyone who goes will be fed very very well afterwards and we usually get some sort of a goody bag each too. Should be back at the Boathouse that day at around 3pm.

I'd like as many volunteers as possible because this is for a very good cause but only sign up if you are certain you can go. We aren't having another Hell of the West scenario.
