There's a surf kayak competition on in Clare this weekend. Anyone who wants to give surf kayaking a go should try and come along, they're always good craic and a great place to get advice on surfing better. A semi-solid roll is useful but apart from that it's open to anyone, beginners are more than welcome!

The facebook event page is here: https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/2204 ... l_activity

Post here if you're interested in going and we'll sort out lifts and stuff.

What surf boats do the club have now that the speedy is gone?

If you can keep your head, when all about you are losing theirs, then you probably haven't fully understood the situation.

There's the Paddlesurf IC boat, the long one, and their shortboat too in the boathouse. We've also got that blue plastic surf boat but have never seen fins for that. Keye's has sourced a new boat in Dublin but just organising collection. It wont be here in time for the comp.

Grand,

I can drive/bring people/boats out but I've a polo comp in Galway at 4pm Saturday so I'll have to head away to that after/during the comp.

Ais sent an email about a free surf/ coaching/ development day on the Sunday as well.

Anyone who's going make sure you register here. If you don't have an ICU number just throw in something so the form will go through and we'll worry about it tomorrow.
